If you walk him on the right side get an bunch of very small treats in your left hand. Walk him very close to you and just keep treating him while saying whatever command you use, like “heel”
Also switch directions frequently. It won’t take too long for him to figure it out.
This is a frustrating problem for many people. Teaching to walk nicely on a leash will not require any special “tools”, jerks, or pops. It is all about a consistent technique. I have posted a video of the walking technique I use on YouTube. Just search for the Homeskooling 4 Dogs channel and look for the leash walking video.
Be sure to follow all the instructions throughout the video and you should see an immediate improvement once your dog understands what you would like. Happy walks!
