If you walk him on the right side get an bunch of very small treats in your left hand. Walk him very close to you and just keep treating him while saying whatever command you use, like “heel”

Also switch directions frequently. It won’t take too long for him to figure it out.

This is a frustrating problem for many people. Teaching to walk nicely on a leash will not require any special “tools”, jerks, or pops. It is all about a consistent technique.
