Puppy chewing only at certain times

I have a 7 month Boston Terrier. He is a good dog. He does not chew on anything except between lunch and end of the day. He goes in his crate with no issues. Someone always comes home at lunch to let him out and plays with him. He goes back into his crate fine, but between the time we get home from school and work he has chewed everything in his crate. We give additional toys to keep him busy, but nothing seems to work. We can be gone for a short time on Saturday or Sunday and he does not chew on anything. I can’t figure out what is so special about that time. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I don’t know what else to try.
