I have a longhair dotson that sheds a ton of hair regardless of how much I groom her. The vet. says she is in excellent health. She is almost 6 years old. Please let me know if there is something I can do to help with this problem.

I have a long haired dachshund with the same problem. I took her to the groomers and got a shedless blow-out. I took her to Petco. They have a way of getting rid of the undercoat without cutting the hair. I highly recommend it!!!

Wow – I have a longhair also and have no issue with shedding! I have her groomed spring and fall just because I think she looks cuter but no shedding issues. Good luck.

My long hair girl doesn’t shed either.
