Hello……I have had several yorkies and most times when they have skin issues , it is a allergy to Chicken …..cut chicken from their diet , it takes a few weeks to flush through , i feed my dogs lamb …..Purina One is a great product with very little fillers and it is not costly …..a close friend is a Breeder and he swears by Purina One also ….its a red bag , Purina One , Lamb and Rice Formula , give it a try , you will be pleased! 😉

Hello, my Yorki is almost 4 years old. What has helped us in the past….grain free food, no fabric softer and scent free wee wee pads. With all this in mind, we have no skin and scratching issues. Good luck.

      Hi,
I had a pup with dry skin issues and here is what helped her:
Take 1 vitamin E capsule (the same vitamin E capsules that humans take, the vitamin E capsules that have liquid / oil in them).
Poke a hole in one end of the capsule with a pin and squeeze out the vitamin E oil that is inside the capsule onto their food & mix it into the food.
      Do this every day.
It will take 2 – 4 weeks for you to notice a difference but stick with it.
If you eventually notice their skin or hair becoming too oily, you can change to every other day use.
You can also use the oil in the capsule to rub directly onto their skin to help elevate any “itchies” they may have and to help moisturizer their skin. It is safe for them if they lick it.
It’s a nice natural alternative to chemical medications or lotions.
      Hope this helps.

I contacted a veterinarian on the Internet he told me to get food that was like all natural so I order at Petco carries it be all natural duck and lamb for allergies it’s a lady limited ingredient diet he also told me to use the shampoo that had certain ingredients I did find one is called dermabenss bins doesn’t dry out skin you can use it as many times as you choose he said leave it on and let it soak a little bit massage it again also told me to get a vitamin A and then told me to get the Omega 3 which poke a hole the hole in the end of the capsule put half on it each each day for my yorkie I also got cushex drops because she also has the symptoms of Cushing’s disease from where she took steroid shot for the allergies. She had a decubitus on her back two of them the size of a silver dollar she lost all of her hair up to her front legs after 3 to 4 months of treatment she had hair back decubitus was gone she would play the other dogs eat the same food she does it all Yorkies everybody is doing fine just what I have found. Hope it helps! We
