Yorkies have a problem with periodontal disease, they fall they cloves and there’s nothing you can do about it. My Cody 8 years already lost 13 teeth, and Sonya age 7 she lost 4 teeth. Buy formulation Petco DR. George’s “Plague Blast” and used on the teeth. This preparation should help, but not entirely prevent the loss of teeth in dogs. Dana

My Fancy is 10. She had only had 3 teeth for the last 4 years. My vet says that it’s common. She was a rescue, so I don’t know what her vet care was like. Fancy has no issues eating and is healthy and happy.

I just had all 6 of my babies teeth done
Little Lilly is 6 had 14 teeth removed she’s a Youkie Pomeranian Sid & Maddie 11yrs Sid 1 Maddie 7 teeth removed Tessa 8yrd yorkie 1 tooth removed
Jesse yorkie poo 8 yrs 7 teeth removed
Bella yorkie 4yrs 1 tooth removed
I feed my dogs high quality dog food they chew on bones I brush there teeth and they still lost all the teeth now they are all rescues but I’ve had them for a long time that is what my Vet said to they have like 43 teeth so to lose 14 or so is not uncommon for little dog there mostly the insizers and they don’t use them to chew 🙁Attachments:

I I have a 9 year old male yorkie. He has gotten his teeth cleaned several times over the years. His back teeth are the issue. However..last Nov. He came home after cleaning hacking n has never been the same can’t play tug a war for very long he stops n hacks. I know someone else who had same issue the tube they put down their throat messed up his trachea. Now I refuse to do it anymore. What is the best thing I can do for his teeth other then putting him under?

A friend of mine said soup bones would be alright for my 10 pound yorkie. I thought bones were bad for them. I brush her teeth with a little coconut oil on the brush / she doesn’t seem to mind then. But it’s hard to get the back teeth.
