My friend’s 5 year old white boxer Bella, has been displaying some behavior which is NOT normal and is an alarm for concern. Bella has had some episodes where her body starts trembling, she breathes really hard and pants. Seems like she might be having a fast heart rate. She won’t eat or drink. She has also been whining constantly and won’t sit or lay in one spot. Constantly moving around in a very nervous and agitated matter. Bella also has a toy chicken which she normally never even touches…but right now she won’t let go of it. There is a very agitated energy coming from her. A Vet performed a blood test; everything came back normal except for a high amount of protein in her urine. Was told this could possibly be from Pancreatitiss. Apparently Bella has been licking her vulva a lot too. Two Vets ran an EKG and results came back normal. One Vet said he’d need to run an EKG during a trembling episode in order to rule out heart problems. Has anybody seen behavior like this from their Boxer? Any ideas? I would appreciate it!!

I had a boxer do the exact same thing. she would carry a plastic alligator around with her and was panting. this happened 3 times and each time we took her to the vets and she was dehydrated so she had to stay the nite and get fluids by IV. we then had a cat scan and all the other tests done on her heart and the heart and the veins arteries were perfect no problems what so ever. we had 3 specialists check her out. she was then good for awhile but I hate to say this about 4 months later we had been at the dog park and were driving home and she was in the back with our other dog and she fell over and was dead before she hit the floor. we were right outside a vets office so we went running in with her and nothing could be done. they figured she a massive hear attack. this was so hard to take as she was was doing so well and so full of life. hope it goes better for this baby. good luck

First: Sorry for mistakes in my language!… I come from Germany…But I know how hard it is to see it…
Just an idea … it is conscious during the attacks? Can it be that they are epileptic seizures?
But due to the unrest and the other symptoms, it could actually be heart rhythm disturbances. Therefore, the notice of the doctor that an EKG during an attack should be made. Not there any 24 h it EKG`s like humans?
Get well soon for the sweet mouse!
