Trixie bounced from house to house, family to family, then given back to the same shelter for one reason or another– including being too old to breed puppies for the family that used her up. She lived in a total of three homes before meeting Nicole.

Nicole knew instantly that she wanted to give 8-year-old Trixie the best golden years possible. Trixie went home with her that day! From then on, Trixie was treasured. Trixie still suffered from anxiety and had accidents in the house. Nicole understood and never reprimanded her. Trixie was such a loving dog despite all she went through. It baffles Nicole– how could anyone give up on such an amazing dog? On any dog, really?
