SusanParticipant
I have a Yorkie & a Chihouhou/terrier & both of them also eats grass. I was told by the vet that if they have an upset stomach, they will eat grass cause it makes them vomit & than their stomach feels better. It is a completely normal & common behaviour.

We chain Bandit up only because we live on a busy street & no fence but only for maybe 5 minutes or so to do his business. We love our baby & he is strictly a house dog & they can be very sweet.

That’s because originally, they were trained to hunt & kill rats. They will try & catch & kill anything they see that moves on the ground. Lol

SusanParticipantMy Husband & I also have an 7 yr. old Yorkie. When he starts barking to get our attention & we tell him to stop, he will than start starts snorting instead. Bandit also does the snorting when he when he knows we are about to give him a treat or let him outside to do his business. We asked our vet about it & he told us that most little dogs will do this if they want attention or get excited. Bandit has also been checked by the vet & he found nothing wrong. I would not worry about it unless it gets really bad cause than I would get your little Sweetheart checked out just to be safe.

SusanParticipantWe have a Chihuahua/terrier who is 15 yrs old. She was also coughing & having a lot of backward sneezing going. After taking her to the vet, we discovered she has a heart murmur & fluid on the lungs. She was put on Vetmedin to speed up her heartbeat & Furosemide for the fluid on her lungs. The Furosemide makes her pee more often but that is what gets rid of the fluid. She is doing fine today & she is back to her old self.
