Vet Rescues Pregnant Dog From Euthanasia, Then Helps Deliver Her Babies!

| July 2, 2015

Sadly, at high kill shelters no dog is safe from euthanasia–regardless of their medical condition. When Vet Matt (from YouTube’s Vet Ranch) found Gracie, she was very pregnant and on the brink of being put to sleep. Immediately Vet Matt took her into his care, nursing her back to health and giving her a safe place to live while they both eagerly awaited the delivery of her puppies. This sweet veterinarian checked her around the clock, worried that she may deliver alone and even opened up his home to her.

To his surprise a few days earlier than expected, he went to check on her early one Saturday morning, Gracie had delivered a whopping 12 puppies! Mom was doing just fine and from the looks of it all of her large litter survived–thanks to this special person who gave her a second chance. Check out this sweet story below!

Such a great story! It’s so cool that Gracie will get to spend the rest of her life with one of her puppies by her side! Share Gracie’s story with your friends!
