Shelter dogs dream of a forever home filled with love and happiness. For Willow, a Corgi mix who had been rescued and brought to a shelter, this dream was her guiding light. She longed for a forever home and a human who would cherish her. In Johnson City, Tennessee, a woman named Candice Yates was going through her own journey. After her senior dog, Marley, passed away, Yates felt the time had come to open her heart to another pup in need. So, she headed to the shelter with the intention of finding a new companion. That’s when she met Willow, and it didn’t take long for the two to form a special connection.

After a few visits to see Willow, Yates knew that she was the dog she wanted to bring home. The day Yates arrived to adopt her, Willow couldn’t hide her joy. The ecstatic pup ran straight into her new mom’s arms, showering her with kisses, thrilled that her dream was finally coming true.

Once Willow moved into her new home, her excitement was evident. She adored her soft bed, new toys, and, most importantly, the love she received from her forever mom. Willow’s eyes sparkled with gratitude as she settled into her new life, knowing that this was the beginning of a wonderful chapter. The affectionate dog was happiest when snuggling with Yates, and it was clear that she had found her perfect place in the world.

Willow also loved going on car rides with her mom. Whenever they hit the road, the pup would gleefully stick her head out of the window, embracing the carefree feeling of adventure. But as much as she enjoyed their trips, there was something even more heartwarming about coming back home.

Merida is a senior who was found abandoned in a backyard with her sibling who had passed away. She was left to fend for herself as an 11-year-old with diabetes. Thankfully, Kanoa Rescue Foundation stepped in to save her, but she still needs your help!

In fact, whenever Yates and Willow began driving back to their house, Willow’s excitement would bubble over. Yates captured one of these moments on video and shared it on TikTok, showing just how much Willow cherished returning home. As they approached the neighborhood, Willow started whining and wagging her tail in pure joy.

At first, Yates thought Willow was excited by something outside, perhaps another dog in the area. But she soon realized the truth—Willow was simply thrilled to be going back home. Yates couldn’t be happier, knowing she gave Willow everything she every dreamed of.
