Car rides are known to lull young children to sleep. The gentle glide across the road is the perfect send-off to dreamland. Since dogs are akin to human babies, this adorable video makes so much sense! I was scrolling through Instagram when this gem popped on my feed. It’s of a sweet, beautiful Dachshund named Winnie sitting pretty in her mom’s car. She’s securely seated in her doggy car seat while the world goes by around her. Mom continues to cruise down the highway with the happy (but sleepy!) pup in tow.

In the video shared by the dog’s mom, Hailey, Winnie can be seen swaying between sleep and wakefulness, struggling to stay upright in her seat. She doesn’t want to miss out on anything! She props herself up with her little arm, hoping this will do the trick. But nope, her body continues to droop as her heavy eyes close, then open, then close again.

Hailey’s caption is so clever: “POV: You’re exhausted but have major FOMO.”

Eventually, exhaustion wins, and the sleepy pup gives in, collapsing onto her blanket for a well-deserved nap. After the video went up on Instagram, followers couldn’t get enough of Winnie’s sleepy antics, flocking to the comments to share their thoughts.

One viewer captured everyone’s sentiment perfectly, commenting, “Oh my gawd, this is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.”

Another chimed in, saying, “Ur a heck of a sleepy pup, Winnie!”

The conversation took a playful turn when one user joked about Winnie’s unique stance: “Her arm resting like she’s a truck driver lolol.”

Target decided to keep selling eggs and pork that come from caged chickens and crated pigs indefinitely despite the pledge made nearly a decade ago to stop using cruel cages and gestation crates. Sign now to urge Target’s CEO to stop supporting animal cruelty.

I’ve seen my fair share of cute videos in my seasoned career, but this one takes the cake! Likely because it reminds me of my own children who often got bit by the sleep bug when driving home after a long day filled with fun.
