#7 – Motley Zoo (Washington State)

With 150 volunteers, this animal rescue has saved over 1200 animals since 2009 and won a $50,000 grant from the Petco Foundation. They attribute their success to building good relationships with the shelters and rescues by being the rescue that “can, will, and does.” TIP: Work with at least 2 different dog organizations for a significant period of time (6+ mos.) so you can see the differences between them, and most importantly learn what you like and don’t life. http://motleyzoo.com/
