15 Sweet Photos Of Pit Bulls That Contradict Their “Aggressive” Stereotype

| September 29, 2020

To this day, Pit Bull dogs are still widely seen as “aggressive” and scary. The stereotype can be really harmful, and even affects laws that ban them from certain places. However, anyone who has ever loved a Pittie knows how unfair this perception is.

When raised by kind people, Pit Bulls are loving and wonderful family dogs. They also make skilled service animals. But, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. So: Here’s a little collection of sweet Pit Bull photographs that proves how inaccurate their reputation really is.

1. A Tolerant Older Sibling

The first thing you have to learn as an older sibling is patience.

2. The Most Adorable Family Nap…

Usually, you see this situation the other way around, but this time it’s the (tiny) person who got into bed with the dog.

3. …Or Is This One The Most Adorable Family Nap?

Not to mention it’s the most symmetrical family nap.

4. Pure, Pittie Loving Joy

Hopefully, the family has this one hanging on their fridge.

5. A Big Brother Watching Out For His Cat Sibling Giving Birth

To be fair, how could his mom pay attention to something other than him?

10. A “Vicious” Attack On The Street

Lacey Armstrong via Facebook

Oh, is this why they say Pit Bulls are mean dogs? Vicious attacks like this one?

11. A Dog So “Mean” He Attacks With His Butt

@MaydayRescue/Facebook

What a terrifying sight! (I hope my sarcasm comes across in captions.)

12. A Pittie Sandwich On Cat Bread

I’ll take a dozen, please.

13. “Don’t Get A Pit Bull, They Said. Pit Bulls Are Dangerous, They Said.”

@zoeglassman/Reddit

Maybe that warning is for people who don’t like to cuddle?

14. A Real Moment Between These Two Siblings

@BoiseBullyBreedRescue/Facebook

Looks like they’re whispering secrets over there.

15. And Rose, The Sweet Girl Who Mothered Kittens

@AppleValleyPitCrew/Facebook

Rose is so gentle with tiny little kittens, and her rescue story is incredibly heartwarming too.

Next time someone tries to argue with you that Pit Bulls are “inherently aggressive dogs,” direct them here to these pictures.
