Waldo is a beautiful, 75-pound red pit bull who has been living at shelters since he was found as a stray in 2010. League for Animal Protection (LAP) pulled him in April 2011 and placed him in boarding because he was due for euthanasia.

Now, Waldo is losing his kennel space and he needs a forever home ASAP.

The rescuers describe him as a sweetheart! (Just look at that face!) And we’re pleased to announce that iHeartDogs.com is donating a years supply of dog food to whoever adopts Waldo!!

Waldo is housebroken, neutered, is not a barker, walks well on lead, rides fine in cars and even knows some basic obedience.

He LOVES people and is eager to please, but should be in a home with kids over 12 due to his boisterous play.

Waldo, does have a few special requests when it comes to his new family. Please read them before applying to be his forever home.

Interested in adopting Waldo? The folks who take care of Waldo are willing to transport him within a reasonable distance but they cannot transport him across the country to the West Coast or Deep South etc. People from all over the country are welcome to apply if they are truly interested in Waldo but they need to understand they would have to transport if they live far away. I’d say anyone in the Northeast area would be eligible to have Waldo transported to them.
Don’t forget, Waldo’s future family won’t have to worry about buying him ANY food for the first year because we’re providing it for him!

If, after reading his adoption specifics here, you feel you would be a good home for Waldo, he is located in the Town of Huntington, New York. Call the League for Animal Protection at 631-757-9373 or email dogs@LAPHuntingon.org.

Please SHARE to help Waldo find his family!
