We can never understand how people could just abandon their dogs. Dogs are family, they’re very loyal friends–how do some people bear the thought of leaving a defenseless family member behind?
But thanks to rescuers like the Tunica Humane Society, abandoned dogs are getting a second chance of having a loving forever home.
In August 2015, the Tunica Humane Society rescued a total of 19 dogs from an abandoned tenant house in Coahoma County, Mississippi. When they got to the area, what they saw was just heartbreaking. The dogs were thirsty and they were starving.
There were so many dogs to be rescued, and some of them were running scared, so it took team 10 days to rescue all dogs.

It took a lot of time and a lot of effort for the team to rescue all the dogs, but they made sure no dog was left behind. A big thank you to these wonderful people for rescuing those dogs. Now they have the chance to get the home, the family, and the love that they all deserve.
