A tiny pupper was recently surrendered to the Animal Rescue League in Bedford, New Hampshire where she received a new set of wheels. Her parents were elderly and determined little Misty needed more help than they could give her. They made the difficult but selfless decision for Misty to go to a rescue who could help give her a better life. A better life is exactly what she got!

She Felt A Need For Speed!

Misty is an 8-year old Yorkie. She has barely any use of her back legs. Because of this, she had adapted by dragging and scooting herself around for the last couple of years. No one is really sure what caused it but nonetheless, it didn’t seem to slow her down too much.  Surely it couldn’t have been comfortable so the Animal Rescue League reached out to Walkin’ Pets and HandicappedPets.com to see if they could set Misty up with a new set of wheels to give her a better quality of life. Walkin’ Pets came to the rescue and Misty was fitted with her new ride this past week. She immediately took off!

“She was barely hooked in before she started zipping around driving over any foot that got in her way. To see the pure joy in her face was magical. Not going to lie, there were a few tears in our eyes as we watched Misty be the dog she’s meant to be, not held back by her uncooperative hind legs,” the Animal Rescue League wrote on their Facebook page.

Misty’s progress has been shared on the Animal Rescue League’s Facebook page. She really flies around in her wheelchair. She even loves playing fetch! Her smile and energetic spirit are 100% contagious!

One look at their Facebook page will your heart bursting at the seams! There’s a Pug in pink wheels with a wiggly, curly tail. There’s a playful pup enjoying a day at the beach with her friends while her wheels glide over the sand and there’s even a Husky skiing through the snow!

The spirits and spunk of these adventurous, resilient, and cheerful babies will fill you to the brim with joy and inspiration!

Misty will soon be up for adoption. She will definitely need a family that can keep up with her because she has a new lease on life and she’s not slowing down!
