We all know that a dog is a man’s best friend. If you’re reading this, you most likely consider your dog a member of your family. They’re probably even your favorite member because they’ll never argue over politics at family dinners. Sure, they’ll steal a roll right off your plate,  but that beats uncle Henry’s rants about the price of tea in China.

One Michigan couple recently tied the knot. When it came time to choose the bridal party, there was no question who was going to be the best man – or, best boy.

“We knew that we wanted him included in the wedding. We thought maybe we would make him a ring bearer but ultimately landed on him being the “Best Boy” because, well, he is,” Weller’s dad, Shane, told Daily Mail. “Weller is our world. We adopted him as a puppy, and he goes pretty much anywhere we can take him.”

Special Accommodations For The Guest Of Honor

Weller, a 3-year-old Mastiff/Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix, helped the two lovebirds say “I do,” and he did it in style! A specially-made doggie tuxedo fit Weller like a glove. Rumor has it that if you squinted, he almost looked like Chris Hemsworth walking down the aisle.

Planning a wedding can be overwhelming. This couple knew that they only wanted a venue where Weller would be a welcomed guest.

“Finding a venue that would allow him to hangout for a while was important to us in the planning process and we got exactly what we wanted,” said Shane.

The picture-perfect pup soaked up his time in front of the camera. He can be spotted in nearly every picture taken that night!

“We are those annoying dog people who post pictures and videos of Weller all over our social media, so Weller has a mini fan base with our friends and family,” Shane said. “We have worked very hard on Weller’s training over the past year, and we are still getting compliments on how well-behaved he was.”

Even The Biggest Party Animals Have Their Limits

Weddings can get a little rowdy. Naturally, Weller was exhausted from soaking up all of the cuddles and lovins’ that he could on the big day. When it came time for the party to really get started (you know, when they break out the “Cha Cha Slide” and the “Cupid Shuffle”), Weller caught a ride home where he could catch up on his beauty sleep.
