For 6 Years, This Bird Has Been Hitching A Ride On His Dog Best Friend

We’ve seen dogs and birds who get along so well together. There was even that bird who sang and serenaded his doggy friend while he was eating.

And now here’s another special dog and bird friendship for you. This amazing friendship is so strong that it has lasted 6 years and it’s still getting stronger!

Meet the two besties– Jackson, an 8-year-old Shetland sheepdog and keeshond mix, and Bird Noir, a 10-year-old black masked lovebird!

These two beautiful animals were adopted and living with their wonderful human named Melissa Gill and they live in Santa Monica, California.

Jackson and Bird Noir have been friends since forever! Yup, they’re BFFs!

Melissa told The Dodo, “I don’t quite remember when their friendship started. One day I just discovered them hanging out. Every morning Bird Noir comes out of his cage and hangs out next to Jackson at the foot of our bed. Sometimes he makes a nest out of Jackson’s fur. Jackson also shuttles Bird Noir around our apartment on his back.

When these two met, it was love at first sight. Jackson immediately fell in love with Bird Noir. Melissa says that Jackson has been friendly with the chickens she owned before. Jackson even lets them ride on his back.

So Jackson had no problem letting Bird Noir hitch a ride on his back.

These two are so adorable together..and they just love to cuddle!

Aren’t they sweet? Jackson is so gentle with Bird Noir, and Bird Noir is so sweet with his canine friend.

Watch the video below and see Bird Noir hitching a ride on Jackson’s back!
