When you purchase items from the iHeartDogs store, you’re helping save the lives of many dogs. Part of the profit goes to Greater Good Charities, which provides essential supply donations to animal organizations through its GOODS Program. Every purchase helps give animals in need better lives!

Friends With Four Paws in Oklahoma City is one of the many organizations that benefit from Greater Good Charities’ donations. The dedicated volunteers at the rescue save dogs from a variety of troubling situations, and they help these dogs get a second chance at life.

Scared Schnauzer Breeding Dog

Some of the rescue’s recent intakes include nine dogs that were saved from a horrific puppy mill. The puppy mill had 36 dogs locked in a U-Haul without food or water. The U-Haul was over 100 degrees when the dogs were saved, and they had only been used to breed puppies for profit their whole lives. At least one of the Schnauzers is pregnant, and she and her fellow breeding dogs are receiving love and proper care for the first time in their lives.

Another recent intake includes kittens and Chihuahua puppies, who were raised together. They lived in poor conditions inside a hoarder-type home. The puppies and puppy mill dogs were taken in on top of the ongoing dogs arriving at the rescue. Many dogs are surrendered to the rescue when their humans can no longer care for them, including an Aussie puppy named Sunny. Sunny’s humans thought she had too much energy, so they locked her outside in a crate 24/7.

Supporting These Animals in Need

All the animals currently in Friends With Four Paws’ care are in foster homes. Foster homes are crucial for dogs with difficult pasts because a loving home environment can help them come out of their shells as they prepare for adoption. All the dogs are fed, spoiled, and well cared for.

Saving dogs from abuse and neglect is made possible because of Greater Good Charities’ donations. The GOODS Program provides food and other essential supplies to the rescue so they have one less expense to worry about. With food costs out of the way, they have more funds to use on rescue missions and medical care.

“Without bulk food donations, we simply would not be able to intake the amount of animals we have in the rescue,” Friends With Four Paws wrote. “Food costs a fortune if purchased at full price and affording high medical bills plus food would strongly decrease the help we provide.”

Every time you buy products from the iHeartDogs, you’re helping rescues save dogs like the ones mentioned in this article. Even small donations can make a huge impact for an animal in need. So, thank you to all the heroes who have shopped at the iHeartDogs store to help rescue dogs!
