When you shop at the iHeartDogs store, part of that profit goes to Greater Good Charities, an organization that does a lot for animals in need. Greater Good Charities’ GOODS Program donates healthy meals to dogs at shelters and rescues. Those food donations can be life-changing for the organizations and the animals in their care.

One dog impacted by the GOODS Program is Drama. Drama came from a hoarding situation where she didn’t have access to enough food and treats. Luckily, Refurbished Pets of Southern Michigan was able to take her in and give her a second chance.

Adopt Drama

At the rescue, Drama finally got plenty of delicious, tasty food, allowing her lovable personality to shine through in no time. She loved to play with toys, and she was house trained and crate trained. Even though she was already a very sweet, well-behaved girl, the rescue signed her up for a 10-week training class to teach her even better manners. Getting extra training is always a great way to set adoptable dogs up for success with their new families.

Drama Gets Adopted

Since Drama is such a sweetheart, it didn’t take her long to find the perfect home. Shortly after completing her training, she got adopted by a wonderful family who has lots of love to give her. She has human siblings and a dog sibling to play with now, so she’ll never be lonely or left behind ever again.

Drama new family

Thanks to the GOODS Program, Refurbished Pets of Southern Michigan has a consistent supply of healthy food for pets. That way, they don’t have to worry about the expenses of meals, allowing them to use their funds for other areas of care, such as training and medical needs.

“RPSM is grateful for the assistance from the GOODS Program, as they provide food and treats for the dogs both in foster care and in the prison program. Funds allocated by the rescue for food can then be used for other essentials such as medical care for the dogs and supplies needed by our fosters,” Refurbished Pets of Southern Michigan wrote.

Drama head tilt

Every purchase from the iHeartDogs store can help give dogs like Drama a second chance at life. With her belly full, Drama was able to focus on training, which led her to find the perfect family. Thank you to all the heroes who have purchased products to help dogs in need!
