S’mores Helplessly Wandered A Rural Area Until You Helped Save Him

Every time you shop at the iHeartDogs store, part of the profit goes to Greater Good Charities, an organization that helps lots of dogs in need. Greater Good Charities uses its GOODS Program to donate healthy meals to shelters and rescues. These food donations can save the lives of dogs, including this beautiful pup named S’mores.

A kind lady found S’mores when he wandered onto her rural property one day. She tried to locate his owners, but she couldn’t find anyone, which likely meant someone abandoned him. The woman did what she could to care for the pup, but she couldn’t properly provide for him. At her home, he wasn’t getting the exercise and socialization he needed.

S'mores needs donations

So, True Friends Animal Rescue came forward to help with his care. They neutered him and got him up to date on his vaccines. Plus, they were able to keep his belly full as he waited for someone to adopt him.

S’mores Finds His Perfect Home!

It didn’t take long for someone to express interest in adopting S’mores. A woman wanted to bring him home despite him still needing necessary training. She could tell that he was meant to be in her family, so she was eager to adopt him and give him a loving home. Today, he’s a very spoiled pup who’s living his best life.

S'mores gets adopted

True Friends Animal Rescue is able to take in dogs like S’more because they receive food donations from the GOODS Program. Not having to spend money on food means that they can focus their funds on other areas of care, such as medical needs.

“TFAR could not continue our mission of saving animals caught in the gray areas where no animal control is present . These animals really have no safety net unless rescues step up. We rely totally on donations and we could not afford to rescue these animals if we didn’t have access to the food and supplies provided by Greater Good Charities. We are so thankful!” True Friends Animal Rescue wrote.
