If you’ve ever had kids and thought the “terrible twos” were fun, get a Husky. They’re not terrible dogs by any means. They’re wonderful, beautiful, incredibly smart bundles of love and fluff! But they’re stubborn. Man, are they S-T-U-B-B-O-R-N! Huskies have no problem telling you their demands. Things are going to go how they want it, when they want it and that’s just the end of it. It’s their unmatched hardheadedness that makes them so much fun!

Primal, Playful and Pawsitively Hilarious

Petcentral.chewy.com has this say about a Husky’s unique personality:

“They are prey-driven, complex, competitive, stubborn, strong and clever. They also have an incredible need for exercise, and they need a leader. If you do not take on the leadership role immediately, your clever Siberian will soon be training you.”

One Husky mom has her hands full. Her 7-year-old Husky named Zeus has enough sass and dramatics to fill an entire bathtub- literally. You see, Zeus and his mom go for walks, which sounds like any dog’s dream. But, Zeus also enjoys playing in the water in the bathtub. On this particular morning, sweet Zeus decided that’s what he wanted to do.

His mom was trying to get out of the house for a walk when she pulled back the shower curtain and there he was: Zeus in all of his dramatic, howling glory! His mom begged him to get out of the tub so they could take their walk but Zeus wasn’t having it. He howled, moaned and cried in a pitch range that would give Axl Rose a run for his money!

“I’m not turning on the water. Let’s go for a walk,” Zeus’s mom pleaded.

We Get It, Zeus!

This only added fuel to his furry fire of angst and protest. Zeus took a deeper breath and howled louder. If you listen to it, he even sounds like he’s saying, “NOOOOOOOOOOO!” If you didn’t know any better you might think he was in some sort of physical agony. In his defense, playing in the water is pretty fun so we kind of get it.

Eventually, the promise of a nice walk outdoors was enough to convince Zeus to dial back the dramatics. He reluctantly (and quietly) stood up and climbed out of the tub as he headed out of his den of despair.

Zeus, you deserve an Oscar, my friend. Bravo!

And to all you Husky moms and dads out there: May the odds be ever in your favor!
