Meet Tyler Wilson. He was going about his normal day when he came across what appeared to be a lost dog. He checked the tag and that’s when everything changed. Meet Tyler, this is his story! Be sure to ‘SHARE’ this story with a friend or family member!

A Yellow Lab approached Wilson at a local gas station near his house in Kentucky, and he was all alone. Wilson was sure he’d seen this dog before, and now he was concerned. Was the dog someone’s pet? Was he lost? He had a lot of questions but no answers to offer.

“I’ve seen the dog a couple weeks before around that area,” Wilson tells The Dodo. “So when he came up to me at the gas station and sat next to me, I was like, ‘This dog has been lost for a while.’”

Wilson was shocked by what he found when he reached down to hug the puppy. He, of course, checked for identification tags on the beautiful dog, and there, hanging from his collar, was a silver tag. This may aid in locating his family and might be very useful. Wilson was taken aback as he saw what appeared to be a name and a phone number on the Yellow Lab’s collar. It read: “My name is Dew. I am not lost. I like to roam. Tell me to go home.”

Instead of just telling Dew to go home, Wilson decided against it. Because Dew was clearly in the mood to say “hi,” he spent some time with him giving him pets and much-needed attention. Dew, on the other hand, is a well-known figure in town. Dew is well-known around town. He spends a lot of his time walking about greeting people. After that, when he’s ready, naturally he returns home to his 70-acre farm with his lovely family.

Dew has always been an adventurer. His family attempted to confine him, but he found a means to escape every time. Dew, on the other hand, always came back home when he ran away. His family learned to live with Dew’s personality; they knew he was extremely bright, was constantly aware of his surroundings, and that he always returned home safely. “Dew loves to make new friends,” his family tells The Dodo. “Fortunately, Dew is chipped and wears a GPS tracker so when his sneaky little self gets out and about, we always know where he is! He just likes to spread the love.”

Dew’s family understands that his forays aren’t the most secure, but they’ve learned to live with him going on walks. They’re grateful that Dew meets people who make sure he’s safe, even giving him a drink of water and a loving head pat.
