If you share your life and your home with a dog then you probably don’t need any convincing about how great they are. Pedigree is hoping to get the word out too so everyone knows just how much a dog can enhance our lives. Their ad campaign is doing a great job of tugging on the heartstrings, making us laugh, and bringing a tear to our eyes all at once.

Changing Our Hearts, Our Perception, And Our Lives

The ad campaign is brilliant in highlighting how dogs can change our lives and also the way we are perceived as human beings. Several photos in the series advocate for combating loneliness by bringing dogs into your home. Honestly, is there any better way to find companionship? Nope!

The campaign hilariously tells people to replace their children once they’re grown and on their own. What better way to replace human children than with fur kids? It’s kind of a no brainer.

Another photo comparison shows the impact of life’s stressors with and without dogs. The first photo appears to show a man standing on the edge of a building as if contemplating a jump. The second picture shows the same man on the same ledge but this time he appears to be on his way to rescuing a tiny Beagle puppy. It’s dramatic, sure, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t true. Dogs give people hope and save us from solitude and despair all the time.

They Make Us Better Versions Of Ourselves

Doggos also have a way of helping humans be more social. Whether it’s convincing us to go to the park, take a hike, or go for a swim, those wagging tails and loving eyes are always ready to be our adventure partner! A dog can take a solemn walk on the beach or a glum walk through the woods and turn it into a day filled with laughter, love, and fun!

Many seniors have limited contact with their family members. This is partly due to not being able to keep up with changing technology, inability to travel, or limited incomes to name a few. It’s a sad reality that a lot of seniors only have the holidays to look forward to spending time with loved ones. Having a dog changes that and Pedigree wants them to know this! The more dogs, the merrier. If you can’t fill your living room with human family members as often as you’d like, then consider filling it with playful pups. They’ll give you more kisses and smiles than you know what to do with!

Just kidding, you know exactly what to do with them. Give them right back!
