When we say a dog’s “playmate”, we usually picture a child, or maybe a cat. But did it ever cross your mind that a tortoise can be a dog’s playmate? Kinda unusual, right? We know dogs love to run, and they can run really fast. Tortoises on the other hand, errr…they’re not that fast. However, in this video you can see a tortoise chasing a dog! And he is quite speedy!
Meet Sheldon and Dolly! Sheldon is an eight year-old sulfate tortoise, and Dolly is a three year-old American Pit Bull Terrier. Both of them were rescued from the Humane Society of North Texas. These two are the best of friends! In fact, their owner says that they love to play and chase each other! You’ll see in the video below how Sheldon chases Dolly! And he is a fast one! Check it out!
