I really admire service dogs. Not only are they very smart, they’ve helped a lot of people not only with their tasks, but emotionally as well. Their support is more than just the physical. It actually goes deeper than that.
That is why Stevie the service dog is more than just a service dog for 7-year-old Anthony Merchante. Anthony has Cerebral Palsy. And he has Stevie as a protector, a guardian angel, and a loyal friend. Stevie alerts Anthony’s caregivers when Anthony is going to have a seizure or has trouble breathing. Anthony’s mother says that Stevie has made such a great impact in their lives. That’s because they feel completely safe now that Stevie is around. And not just that, Anthony has Stevie as a companion and a friend who loves him unconditionally.
Stevie is just the sweetest, isn’t he? What a beautiful, sweet, and helpful dog!
