Thank you so much for your post. My family has been on the verge of getting a dog for some time now but my husband is not on board just yet. I would really love to rescue when the time comes. I really didn’t know much about the process so your information has been an eye opener and again I say THANK YOU! I had no idea that you could “pick and choose” and take your time…I really thought that you went one day to a rescue place and picked a dog and went home with it. Duh! I’m so glad there’s so much more to it. Thank you also because I am a dog lover at heart and I too would be heartbroken to have a dog not work out and have to return it.
