Stray dogs have no choice but to fight for survival. In many parts of the world, the homeless animal population has skyrocketed. Volunteers do their best to help as many animals as possible, but the number of dogs and cats on the streets often makes rescue feel like a losing battle.
Still, animal-loving folks continue their mission, and we commend them all for that! When one tiny pup fell into a well, he whimpered and cried. He kept his head above the well water for as long as possible. But he was growing weak, and it was only a matter of time before he lost his battle and drowned.
Rescue workers raced over, knowing time was of the essence. They organized their equipment; thin ropes were placed together so they could pull the puppy out without risking injury. Now, it was time to go to work! The puppy’s life hung in the balance as the diligent volunteers lowered the ropes. The little one was cold and hungry.
