Dogs are family. It’s really as simple as that. When the holidays roll around, we obviously want to include our dogs in the festivities, gift-giving, and everything else the season has to offer!
Peter Thorpe, a photographer based in the UK, he put his creative skills to work to incorporate his dog, Raggle, into the Christmas fun. Each and every year, Peter will dress up his dog as a different animal and take some truly unique photos of him for his ongoing “Christmas Dog” series. This family tradition is something that the Thorpe family eagerly awaits year after year, and the ideas are amazing!
Since 1990, Peter has made this family tradition a treasured pastime, and not only that, but something we can enjoy too, just by looking at these fun images. Once the photos are completed, the Thorpe’s send them out as holiday cards for friends, family, and clients.
Peter says the fun for him has been, “choosing to continue to create these traditionally rather than with Photoshop, by making my own sets and props and using a fair bit of food bribery!”
We all know how the food bribery thing goes with our silly dogs! Peter was kind enough to allow us to share his images with you, and we have a feeling you are going to love them, just like we did! Sadly, this year the tradition will be coming to an end, as sweet Raggle will go into retirement.
