Alex Cearns, owner of Houndstooth Studio is changing what people perceive as beautiful when it comes to pets with disabilities. Her new series “Perfect Imperfection,” highlights all types of animals – from goats to birds – that have some type of disability. Some are missing a limb, some are missing both eyes – all are beautiful.
Cearns uses her photography to help rescued and homeless animals that are often overlooked – like black dogs or those with disabilities – get rescued by revealing the beauty within through her photography.
