Okay, come on. We all really need to laugh right now, and nothing causes instant chuckles like hearing fart noises. Even the most refined among us cave to the silly sounds. Heck, reading the word alone makes me giggle. I’m not made of stone! … Fart! I can’t prove it, but I bet you laughed at that.
Dogs, however, don’t seem to have this automatic giggle response. A white Pit Bull named Bullit, for example, reacts very physically when he hears fart noises. His person made a series of [hopefully just] fart noises and filmed the dog’s reactions. Bullit really takes an emotional journey over the course of the experiment!
That video thankfully graced YouTube. Yep, a whole minute and 13 seconds of a bewildered Pit Bull reacting to unexplained fart sounds. The video now has well over 3 million views. Maybe after this post it will already have surged to 4 million. Up to you all!
After the first fart noise, Bullit is completely alarmed. (Weird, right? You think he’d be familiar with this noise!)
What happens from there is really up to interpretation. Is Bullit intolerant of the fart sounds and trying to stop them? Is he just in the mood to play? Whatever the reason, it makes for entertaining footage. The kind you can watch again and again.

“It looks like he wants to play with the farts” – @BigxBOB1212 via YouTube
You may watch this video at the risk of altering your YouTube recommendations. But hey, would it really be the worst thing to spend your time at home watching a series of videos of dogs reacting to farts? If there’s ever a time to do that, it’s surely now. Maybe take your own camera out and try it with your pup. Viral fame awaits!
