Want to hear the tale of a pair of pups named Annie and Danny? Of course, you do, dog lover, and not just because you love the canine kind! But because you made a difference in their sweet, young lives.

These siblings were a part of an unwanted litter and abandoned by their owners. The neighbors, knowing Annie and Danny were on their own, kindly took them in and even nursed them through parvo. But their home sustained damage in a storm, leaving them unable to live there until repairs could be completed. Sadly, they couldn’t continue care of the sweet doggie duo. But Route 66 Pet Rescue in Tulsa, Oklahoma, was there to take them and they were stocked with plenty of food and toys, thanks to your good heart and desire to shop with purpose.

Full Bellies Make Happy Puppies

When you shop with iHeartDogs, every single purchase funds donations for dogs in need. Whether you purchase a cute dog shirt for yourself or supplements for your dog, that cart full of goodies gives compassion. Through our partnership with Greater Good Charities, we ensure shelter dogs receive food and other necessities while waiting for their forever homes. The GOODS Program, a pet food distribution initiative in the Greater Good Charities family, has been keeping hungry bellies full for over a decade. This initiative turns the cash from your purchase into delicious food every shelter is happy to see.

And because of the GOODS Program, Route 66 Pet Rescue shared, “Annie and Danny are thriving at the rescue.”

“They both love it when the volunteers give them attention and play with them. They have full bellies and lots of toys to play with and a big play area and are able to relax inside at night.”

Annie and Danny aren’t the only dogs who know the benefits of GOODS, with Route 66 explaining, “The GOODS program has allowed us to help so many dogs in so many different ways.”

“The food alone helps us ensure each dog receives healthy meals. The treats enable us to reward the dogs during walks and training. The toys are their favorite. With this program, we are able to enrich their time with us till they find their forever home.”

All this joy and magic could not happen without you, though. Every purchase you make means more dogs who thrive. So, keep shopping and keep saving lives!
