Dutiful Mama Dog Brings Crying Babies Her Favorite Toys

| November 2, 2020

In Zhengzhou, China, a Golden Retriever named Yami gave birth to three beautiful puppies. As many do, the dogs’ human placed a security camera in their pen to keep an eye on them. Furbo cameras also allow you to interact with your pups virtually and throw them treats. What a brilliant idea that camera placement turned out to be. Evidently, dogs do some of the cutest things even when we’re not around to see them!

On Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok, Ms Lu posted footage from the pen security camera. She captioned it: “Do you believe in the power of maternal love?” I certainly do after seeing this.

The video shows Yami going above and beyond as a new mom. Devastated by the saddest sound in the entire world (puppies’ cries,) Yami frantically wanders around the living room. She collects some of her favorite toys and delivers them to the feet of her babies.

Without actually saying anything, Yami tells her babies she would do just about anything for them. Even if that means sharing her stuff. Yami even nudges the toys towards her yelping pups as if to say “shh baby, it’s okay!”

Yami’s toys must be important to her, and she hopes they’ll comfort her whining children.

Ms Lu told Daily Mail Online she enjoyed seeing this new sweet behavior from Yami.

“It was the first time I saw [her] doing this. Sometimes she would remain standing [while feeding] to avoid crushing them. I’ve also spotted her fetching warm clothes to [the puppies].”

Apparently, this went on for hours before Yami finally settled in with her sleeping puppies. She may be new to parenting, but she’s doing a pretty great job so far.

A Relatable, Lovable Moment

Golden Retriever lovers and puppy fans jumped into the comments to share their appreciation for Yami and her sweet children.

“Such a loving mom, it’s so great showing us who don’t have pets, just how smart they are, and loving.” –@Rita Valencia via Facebook

“So cute typical Retriever trait, my god mother had one who used to present you with all his toys when you arrived at the house. Or if you were upset. Just too adorable.” –@Sophie Louise Chadd via Facebook

This sweet video is just as much a testament to dogs as it is to the power of motherhood.
