Sometimes even the most professional of working dogs can’t control their physical urges. Or, as the saying goes: When you gotta go, you gotta go. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you view the Philadelphia Flyers), one police dog’s actions ended up being way too symbolic. The dog decided he had to do his business right as he crossed over the giant Flyers logo in the center of the ice at the Wells Fargo Center arena. Jordan Hall, an NBC … Read more

Remember William Wegman’s dog people from Sesame Street? The photographer/artist’s Weimaraners would poke their heads out through costumes as human hands mimed performing all their actions. Yes, it was exactly as it sounds, cute but also really weird. Decades later, in 2021, contemporary artist and photographer Daniel Gebhart de Koekkoek has put a twist on a similar idea. His calendars, currently for sale, feature 12 months of dogs doing different jobs through the use of human hands. With a tongue-in-cheek … Read more

Going to the veterinarian is never a pleasant experience, and visiting the vet for a dog is no different. No one wants to be poked or prodded while waiting for potentially terrible news, but it must be done for our health’s sake. While most dogs attempt to flee when brought to the veterinarian’s clinic, there is one particular dog that loves it!
This gleeful Golden Retriever loves to play in the veterinarian’s office, and it’s amusing to watch! Every time she bursts through the door with her leash in her mouth, it says everything. She’ll bust through the door with her leash in her mouth ready to welcome everyone inside!
The Golden Retriever performs laps throughout the office building, just as any other dog would in a dog park. She’s genuinely pleased to be there, and nothing will change that! If only it were this simple to get my dog to the doctor.
Many people be concerned that having dogs around babies may be a hazardous notion. However, one family posted a video of their dog’s reaction to their newborn baby, and it is bringing tears to everyone’s eyes!
The parents present Dude with his newborn sister, Savannah. The dog’s eyes light up as he sees the infant, and he instinctively leans in to kiss her gently on the forehead!
Dude grins and lets out a loud scream of joy as he embraces Savannah. The big fluffy boy is totally smitten with Savannah, continuing to look at her with his enormous puppy eyes.
The parents had no idea that Dude would react so strongly to the news! Based on what I’m seeing, Savannah will have a wonderful childhood with her protective big brother. We can’t wait to see how Dude and Savannah’s friendship develops!

This is a tragic illustration of how real-life monsters exist today. When cops in Williston, Florida, were called to a report of screams coming from bushes, they rushed over to the location and got closer. They discovered that the cries were coming from beneath a large dirt mound when they arrived on the scene and got closer. Something was buried!
The two men knelt down on their hands and knees to rescue the whimpering creature. They were astonished to find a tiny, helpless puppy trapped in the debris! Who could be behind such a cruel deed? The puppy was buried alive and left to perish, perhaps as some sort of vengeance or retribution. But why?
The puppy was buried six inches deep, shallow enough to reach him but with all that mud on such a little body, it would only be a matter of time before he suffocated. The cops were furious when they discovered the infant. They retrieved him and took him to the veterinarian.
The puppy’s eyes were sealed shut. He was frantic. He had no clue where he was or why he was taken from his mother for the love of god. They dubbed him “Tucker” after the veterinarian staff mistreated him in this manner. While they were enraged by how he had been treated, they were relieved that he would now be ok.
Tucker appeared to be in excellent health despite everything he had been through. He took to the bottle right away. One of the vet technicians fell in love with Tucker and resolved to adopt him.
There’s no word yet on whether the individual who committed this repulsive act was apprehended and punished, but the tale has a positive ending. Tucker was preserved in time, and now he enjoys a wonderful life with a family that will always adore and appreciate him.
Unfortunately, there are monsters among us. They hide because they are cowards. They do harm to innocent people and animals since their blood is different from ours. We are, however, more powerful. Their victims also have greater power than they had before.
Let Tucker’s story serve as a reminder that evil will never triumph over good.
Sioux City, like other United States cities, had a strict ban on Pit Bulls. When Pits were discovered in city shelters, they were put in the back because they weren’t available for adoption. Angel was a Pit Bull with a bad reputation who had a nasty habit of displaying her teeth. She would also growl if people got too close to her.
Then a Karma rescue volunteer came to the shelter. She was brokenhearted when she learned Angel would be euthanized in a few days. Something had to be done. A behavioral specialist friend of hers came to meet Angel and took her out for a walk.
The volunteer wanted to save Angel. But the ban in the city made this impossible. She couldn’t adopt Angel herself and all the other rescues were at capacity with so many Pit Bulls. The rescuer took her out of the shelter and said she would spend some time with her and then take her to the vet to be put down. During this time she also sent one last text to Hug Hearts Foundation in Los Angeles.
She explained to the rescue group that Angel was being put down in a little over an hour and that’s when the person on the phone said, “We will take her!”
The Pit Bull was flown to Los Angeles. They trained and socialized her during the next few weeks. The Pit Bull ban in Sioux City was unexpectedly canceled! It appears that more and more cities are catching on, and learning, that it’s not the breed that matters but rather how those dogs are treated.
Angel’s story continues to amaze us. We are ecstatic she was saved in time. ALL dogs deserve a good home, and all of the love in the world to go with it . Angel’s tale may be seen by scrolling down. Thank you to The Dodo for raising awareness about such a wonderful breed.

A kind lady in a poor village decided to take in a stray dog. Too many animals were afflicted with misery, and she was powerless to help them all. However, she could assist one deserving pet, so she did! The dog was gentle and loyal, and he quickly took to his new owner. He wasn’t used to living in a house.
But she observed that her dog went out at the same time every day and returned about two hours later. He was always exhausted from his trip and would get some rest during the day. The new mother of the dog thought this was strange, so she decided to follow him. She wanted to make sure he was all right.
This is when things got really interesting. The dog’s mother lingered back as he made his way through the village to greet this other lady. The canine was delighted to see him and set a bag down in front of him, which contained a homemade supper. The dog ate some of it, but then backed away.
As much as we adore dogs and consider them amazing, what this dog accomplishes next is proof that dogs are angels on Earth. Don’t be a cheater! Watch the incredible tale below to find out about the wonderful dog and his brave actions. Dogs continue to amaze us!

In their Tennessee home, Bryan and Alicia Holloway would frequently let their 18-month-old son, Bryson, play with their family dog in the yard. The Holloways were certain that their child was secure with Shiloh, their bright Australian Shepherd puppy.
When the parents discovered Shiloh lunging at Bryson while playing in the yard one day, they became concerned. For a second, the Holloways had their doubts about Shiloh’s intentions. But then they noticed a huge Copperhead snake slithering past their son’s foot! Shiloh didn’t seem to care about his own well being and lunged at the snake.
Shiloh quickly used his body to protect his brother from the snake, which then slithered into the yard. The serpent escaped the yard but the dog became quivering and fell to the ground. The parents understood that their brave dog had been bitten by a poisonous snake. They rushed Shiloh to the hospital, where he was given appropriate antibiotics that helped save his life.
Shiloh was not injured in the attack, but he was still affected by the incident. Shiloh suffered severe swelling and pain for a few weeks, but he is now doing well. The family is grateful to Shiloh for putting himself in danger to save their little boy. They consider themselves fortunate to have such a dedicated and brave friend in the family.

An airport pickup box with numerous unfinished holes came without proper labeling. The workplace employees ignored the box and carried on with their tasks. Because it didn’t have the correct tags, it would be stowed among other items in the same condition. The container was roughly 16 inches tall and only said that it was to be delivered to Syria.
After a week of waiting in a holding room, the box was improperly labeled. Finally, legal confirmation was received that employees at the airport had the authority to open and examine the contents of the container. What they discovered nearly knocked them off their feet!
Three Siberian tigercats were packed inside the box. Nobody knew how they had survived for so long. However, all three of them clung to life despite the fact that they hadn’t eaten or drunk anything in a week! Animals Lebanon posted on Facebook, “Nothing indicated that the box contained tigers or even live animals, and there were no details of a shipper or receiver,” the animal rights group Animals Lebanon wrote on Facebook.
The three male kittens had been on a flight from Ukraine and were supposed to be sold to a zoo in Syria. Animals Lebanon demanded that the tigers be transferred to them. A court ruled in their favor. “Their paw pads were raw and red from being coated with urine, and they had fresh wounds on their back legs and thighs,”
The Siberian tigers were in desperate need of help. Endangered species are highly valued on the black market. People who seek to profit from their illicit transactions may not consider the animals’ wellbeing.
“They are improving – but they are still at risk! Big cats can be worth tens of thousands of dollars on the black market. The owner is fighting to get them back, and we are fighting for the tigers and rule of law,” Animals Lebanon explained on Facebook.
The zoo opposed the rescue group’s request to return the tigers. Thankfully, a judge once again ruled in favor of the recovery team, allowing all three tigers to remain with them. “Thank you for all of your hard work that made this possible.
The tigers have thrived in their new environment. We’re thrilled they were discovered just as we needed them!

We know that protecting our dogs is more essential than anything as loving dog owners. Their health, happiness, and well-being are all in our hands– as they are unable to look after themselves. We have to be cautious of what hidden dangers may harm our dogs, just like we would with toddlers.
One dog, named Wasabi, was a recent victim to this hidden danger. His grandma, Patricia Polacco, posted this to Facebook:
“My Daughter Traci lost her dearest dog Wasabi to this…it was a pork rind bag. She had left to go pick up something at a friends, wasn’t even gone 10 minutes and her roommate called. He found her next to the front door with the bag still on her head. HAD SHE KNOWN……..it hadn’t even crossed her mind that something like this could happen. None of us knew!!!! Please spread the word. Chip bags, zip lock bags that had left over food in them, treat bags, yogurt containers, Especially the YoPlait, cut it all up!!!! Don’t leave them where pups and cats can get to them. Our hearts are still broken. Thank you.”
Another dog, named Menja, was also killed by a snack bag according to WUSA 9. Shira Reese, his mother, told the news station about the day she discovered her dog dead:
“I went downstairs and I found him unresponsive with a Goldfish bag around his neck,” Shira told WUSA 9. “At that point, he was stiff.”
A 3rd dog owner, Debbie Smith, also spoke about her worst day imaginable, “[He] was starting to swell and such. It was just unbearable. He was my life for 10 years. I wept like a baby for days and weeks.”
The four dogs were merely following natural instinct: hunger. Their insatiable appetite led to their deaths.
Every dog is vulnerable. It doesn’t matter how well-trained they are, or whether they’re big or little. People who own dogs would be shocked to learn that their beloved pets could perish in a death trap like this.
Keep all snack bags hidden. Another great idea is to invest in sealable containers that fit in your pantry. This will also keep food fresher longer and save you money over time. Please be careful. Their safety is at risk.

Because they can learn to associate words we say with certain objects or outcomes, it often seems like dogs understand our language. As much as we wish they knew the real meaning behind our words, they’re really just relying on those learned associations. This also explains why a dog trained by a Spanish-speaking person would not necessarily respond to English spoken commands. It took a while for one confused adopter to realize that her rescue dog fit that description. The … Read more

It is common to be scared of the various hazards of allowing pets near tiny infants. However, this lovely film challenges that notion, as we see 8-month-old Ella happily playing with her friendly Golden Retriever puppy.
In this video, we see the 2-month-old puppy approach the little girl sitting on an outdoor deck with curiosity. The puppy is a live wire, bouncing about her and inviting her to play!
The puppy is amusing to Ella, who bursts into gleeful giggles as she allows the dog to nuzzle up against her face and lap. The exuberantly energetic puppy keeps his tail-wags going, demanding that Ella play with him, and she eventually decides to join in his game.
Ella screams with delight as she hugs the puppy and rolls on the floor with him. They appear to be two adorable little angels getting a wonderful start to a lifelong relationship, tangled up together on the ground. This lovely video has given us renewed hope today. What an adorable baby and puppy love!
When a sluggish movement was observed in a deep muddy hole on an urban construction site, the workers were concerned. The employees discovered a tiny puppy desperately drowning and fighting to stay afloat in the noxious muck after scanning the pit. They gathered together and hauled out the dying puppy as soon as possible.
The puppy was encased in a thick layer of dried mud from head to toe by the time the employees brought him to the South Essex Wildlife Hospital. He appeared rather pathetic as bits of trash plastic drooped from his stomach. The vet staff washed the terrified newborn, only to discover that he wasn’t a “dog” after all!
As a warm shower flushed away the arid layers of mud, the staff realized that the poor baby was actually a fox cub! After a very long dunking and scrubbing session, the 4-month-old cub finally recovered from the shock and was able to move freely again. To commemorate this one-of-a-kind rescue, the staff has named the baby “Muddsey”. We love the sound of that!
Muddsey is doing great now, and the veterinarian staff will set him correctly when he’s completely healthy. It’s been suggested that Muddsey was trapped in a muddy hole for a whole weekend based on his condition. If it wasn’t for the construction workers, he would have met a horrible demise. We’re ecstatic that things worked out well.

When a Pit Bull puppy in Nova Scotia was on the verge of death, Marine Joey Wagner rose to the occasion and went above and above the call of duty. The mange-covered puppy was found by Mr. Wagner, who acted immediately! He took him to the veterinarian for prompt treatment… Fortunately, his fast thinking saved the pup’s life.
The medical team was opposed to Mojo being given away in a typical adoption. As a result, they naturally called upon someone very special to see if he would welcome Mojo into his home. It was clear that he had already opened up his heart…
When Wagner returned to the clinic to see his new puppy, he was met with a very special welcome. Mojo couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw the guy who saved him. It’s impossible for me to doubt that he recognized Wagner and welcomed him back because it was a brilliant decision!
Mojo is now three years old, and he’s doing fantastic! He resides happily with Wagner and his family and is a very happy young man. It’s said that he’s quite pampered (and we’re totally fine with that!)

It all started when Seppo fed worms and tiny fish to the starving otter, who was obviously hungry. After that, the kind animal repaid the favour by visiting Seppo at his home in Easter Finland. This was the start of something wonderful.
There’s no way Seppo could’ve known it would all lead to this. This adorably distinctive friendship is something you just have to watch to believe. There’s nothing better than the connection between two pals, regardless of species! 🙂
